Five Sentence Fiction – Flame

There was a spark in his eyes, the spark that lit up the flame in my heart the moment his gaze met mine.

The embers burning in those eyes kept me warm at night and shone brighter than all the stars combined together.

Withouth hesitation, I jumped right into the fire.

“Aren’t you afraid of getting burned?” they asked.

Didn’t they know that love was worth all the danger and taking all the risks?
