Five Sentence Fiction – Learning

I’m taking every step carefully.

Learning to feel the solid ground under my feet and walk on my own.

I’m trying not to choke on the air that I’m gasping for.

Learning to breathe.

Balancing on the edge of this evanescent moment, I’m learning to be.
